Written between May and September 2004, this weekly English language column appeared in the Romanian daily newspaper ‘Ziarul Financiar' , covering everything from the Beslan tragedy to Romanian pop music.

Despite being frequently controversial and fairly badly targeted at the the stereotypical ex-pat businessperson that forms the bulk of the English page's readership, the column quickly built up a sizable following of regular readers.

On a few occasions, well-known journalists from other Romanian newspapers wrote pieces in response to the articles archived here.
